An opportunity to shine! Our client is an international law firm, seeking a dynamic Practice Assistant (Client Service Specialist) for their Los Angeles office with a minimum of 5 years experience in Employment Litigation, supporting, among others, the chair of the Employment Practice Group and head of the office. Peer firm or larger regional law firm experience is required.

The ideal candidate for this position will execute administrative functions and facilitate completion of tasks including finance/billing-related tasks, time and expense entry, opening of new matters, client presentations, meetings and other administrative projects as assigned; Maintain calendar and scheduling, coordinate pending matters and tracking deadlines utilizing expert-level follow-through and drive. Prepare complex legal documents and correspondence; oversee and coordinate state and federal court filings, including e-filings; apply subject matter expertise in coordination of legal practice tasks and projects.

In addition to superior technological abilities, this role will maintain a consistent physical presence required to facilitate an interactive and collaborative environment ensuring that assignments, cross-training, and peer level support are optimized to provide seamless support, coordinating firm resources as needed, including Document Processing, Office Services, Client Service Center, Practice Innovation, and other similar departments in international offices.

Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team; Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Advanced knowledge of timekeeping, expense processing, and legal billing practices; Compensation includes a salary range between 80K and 105K+ and a top-tier benefits package. Excellent written and oral communication skills required with strong ability to meet deadlines and provide results while supporting Firm policy and procedures.
